I tried searching but could not find a current topic about this. Are allowed to repeat handling for example mills on the same plane like horizontal mills in a balance and later horizontal mills in dance moves or do they have to all be on a different plane? _________________ Ritzadinova <3 Yusifova <3 Miteva <3 Staniouta <3 Kudryavtseva <3 Averina Twins |

It does say in the COP "Apparatus technical elements are not limited but cannot be performed identically".
BUT. Where is the deduction if you repeat the same type of mills etc? _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Yes I just read the table of Artistic and Technical faults on the CoP and there isn't a penalty for repeated apparatus technical elements...
BTW I have a question about that.. Can I repeat apparatus techical elements if I'm not doing difficulty, risks, dance sequence ecc??
As D2 doesn't exist anymore if I repeat same plane mills while I'm doing nothing of technical (D, S, R, M) they should not count anything.. as if I didn't do them! Right? _________________ Go Golden Butterflies!! |

I think there's no deduction - you just won't get the 0.2 or 0.3 for mastery (M). That being said, as long as your handling is valid, even though it's repeated, the difficulty still counts. _________________ Click here to download my mixes.

I wouldn't repeat the same mastery element - I mean just the same set of spirals in say a difficulty and then with a pose. Will be interesting to see if they clarify anything in this regard... _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Interesting question. Maybe you could just be penalysed for lack of variety.
It's nice to see original handlings, but if you're forced to repeat a handling just once I think it'll be ok. |

I keep watching Yana's new ball (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrHiPQww7K8&feature=g-all-lik) as it is said to be an example of new code rutine. As far as I see she uses here the same kind of mastery. For instance:
- unstable balance for the pivots
- bounce for balances and fouette pivot
- throws (same type) here and there and on leaps
etc.
Also, if I'm not counting wrong, she has three (or four (?)) dancing steps looking almost identically and having almost the same mastery.
What should we understand from this? I am confused. |

What should we understand? That what I said above was correct - why bother make all your handling different when there is no deduction for repeating it! _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |
