Here are the health benefits of doing splits I have found on internet

•The splits activate blood circulation not only on nether region of torso but upper part of body as well, making the performer fresh, energetic and active.
•Removes pain from thighs and pelvis.
•It is great suppleness of muscles that improves limbs’ mobility.
•The splits improves standing and sitting positions as well.
•Provides great stability to the torso.
•Aligns the spinal cord by making lower region of back much stronger.
•Keeps the foot-pain and the calf muscles-pain also at bay.
•The splits provide great support to the upper part of body allowing it to incline in all the desired directions with great ease which can’t be performed in normal sitting or standing position.
•Serving as the benchmark the split legs pave the way for torso’s natural movement allowing it to move in all the directions. Such mobility of the torso provides inexplicable flexibility to the muscles and plays a pivotal role in resuscitating even the dormant muscular tissues and aligning the spine.
•The splits though are a part of gymnastics they are used by the athletes, dancers, gymnasts and other sports persons prior to moving on any sporty activity.
