I love Sasaki's, except they wear out so fast, especially on the carpet we use at my gym (it's kind of old and quite rough).
I got some IWA toe shoes this year and IMO they aren't very good, very hard to pivot in because they're made of that leathery material. Confused

I have a question about toes shoes used by ROM gymnasts

I saw photos from Barny in Verviers. the material looks so thin and the shoes look "soleless". What material is it made of? does it have a brand?

They actually make the toe shoes themselves. Razz

There's also a picture of a gymnast with sequins on her toe shoes. Is it allowed? I have never seen it before.

Yes, that's the main reason. They lack a lot of equipment, from toe shoes and leos to gyms to train in. It's basically a sad situation. Sad

Aaaww poor girls. They must have such a strong drive! Surprised
I remember reading about the Romanian AG team who went to Worlds in California, and so so so wanted to go to Disney World (which was visible through the windows of their hotel rooms) but couldn't afford to go. And then at Catalina's birthday someone payed their entrance so that they could go after all! Very Happy I don't remember the details but it sounded really sweet.

Well, you know, there is money; funds for sports exist in our country; the only problem is that only few sports have the privilege of getting parts of it. And of course, RG is by definition one of the most ignored sports ever...
So the coaches basically struggle everyday to provide everything that the girls might need. But most of the times, equipment like toe shoes and leos aren't as important as let's say food, and medicine or buying apparatus.
If you take a closer look at their leos, you'll see they're horribly made, and I heard the girls actually stay up almost every night sewing their toe shoes. They're made of some kind of rough cotton (I don't know the name in English, sorry).
