Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. |
I'd wait to talk to your coach and just wear socks until she tells you what to do. Depending on where you live you will be able to order some for fast.
Good Luck In Your Class!! |

Thats ok. Most coaches would appreciate that, as long as your not scared to ask for help! Is this your first time ever going to a class for Rhythmic? |

Romania doesn't have a lot of money to fund their gymnastics programs. The RG girls make their own toe shoes, and the AG girls use strips of fabric for grips. Romanian girls are some of the toughest, because they have to endure pain that regular gymnasts from richer countries don't have to deal with because they can afford the proper equipment. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

How durable are the Griskos? I'm thinking of getting a pair... _________________ <3 Kondakova, Kanaeva, Bessonova, Mustafina, McCormick <3 |

I either want to ask some informations about Grishko shoes. I have never tried it, and I'm not satisfied about Pastorelli ones, especially because of the terrible elastic band. .__.
Anyway, on Beatrice Vivaldi's forum a lot of people say Grishkos are excellent, they help you a lot during turns and they get damaged a lot later than Pastorelli ones. I also heard that at the beginning they make your feet hurt a bit (because they are hard), but after a bit they get the same shape as your feet, so they are very good.
I wanted to ask a question about Grishko shoes: what are the differences between "Alina" model and standard model. In a website I found that "Alina model has a low vamp", whereas standard's vamp is higher... |

The Alina rides lower on the foot. The standard ends up about a half-inch above the knuckles of your toes, but the Alina just covers them. _________________ "What gives me confidence is the fact that everyone gets insecure" - Andrew Garfield |

Thanks! So are they different only for the appearance? Is the sole identical? |

The Sole of the Alina goes to cover a little past the ball of the foot, bt the Classic goes about mid-arch.
I hope this helps _________________ "What gives me confidence is the fact that everyone gets insecure" - Andrew Garfield |

Thanks! I just wanted to know if one model made you turn easily than the other one. So they are equal. |

Grishko toe shoes are more durable but much harder to break in the sasaki's (because the sasakis are not leather) and i find them harder to break in then any other leather shoes. |

Hello,
Forgive me for asking if it sounds stupid but...what's so terrible about having to sew one's own shoes? I mean, apart from the time it takes and the shear lack of money and thus other basic necessities.
I'm not involved in RG but in ballet. I've yet to find a pair of soft shoes that fit me perfectly, and I'm not even talking about pointes. Yes, the Romanian team shoes look unusual, but at least the girls have the opportunity to fit their homemade shoes (or grips) perfectly to their hands/feet. Isn't that a good thing?
