Anna Bessonova: Raising an Olympian

"When Anna wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps by pursuing a rhythmic gymnastics career, Viktoria was hesitant because she didn't want the sport to deprive Anna of a childhood. Yet, as Anna fell in love with the sport Viktoria not only allowed her to pursue it, she became her first coach. With her mother's guidance and support at home and in the gym, Anna won the silver medal in Beijing 2008."

- An interview with Anya and her mom, with english subtitles.

I don't know why, probably because of the Olympics and the once-every-four-years attention to RG, but Bess just got a huge spike in views on youtube!

Like, a few weblogs featured her ribbon routine from Benidorm (the one uploaded by deccles001) and a bunch of people are like Shocked now in the comments.

On my own channel, the statistics for Bessonova's routines went up. The top 3 countries I usually have are Spain, Russia, and whatever country the gymnast is from in the video. But for Bessonova's ribbon routines, it know says the top 3 are Spain, USA, and Canada?

What is happening? Watching Laughing Rolling Eyes
