Which Gizikova ? |
Zarina (Zaika). Here is her fan group:

It says here she was born in 1985, well, that makes her more or less Miteva, or Weber's age. Too bad she doesn't compete....
Were you thinking of Inessa Gizikova, she competed in the team event in Alicante? I like her, too. She had bronze with the team, with Zaripova and Rosliakova. |
Yes i wasn't sure whever you were talking about Zarina or Inessa, because Inessa had quite a shot carrer too ! |
Agreed, Inessa probably had a shorter career, or, at least, less popularity. _________________ http://ludafenka-en.blogspot.com/

+1! Poor her, did she retire only because of Viner? |
I thought she had a serious injury,too, but...they always say they do, don't they? _________________ http://ludafenka-en.blogspot.com/

Do you have videos oh her as a senior? I also liked her very much! |
She was a very graceful clean gymnast.I remember she competed in 1997 in Holon as a senior and was beautiful to wach. Its a pity that she had such a short career, but Kabeava&Tchachina and Barsukova were so strong at that time that it was a difficult situation for her.
I'm quite sure i have the video of the competition from Holon, when i will have time i will put it in the Youtube. |

Hi,
People already mentioned Lera Taksheyeva. I think it's sad that she had to retire so young; she was quite a promising gymnast. I heard that she suffered a back injury. Would anybody know if she's ok now?
And...what happened with Dominika Cervenkova? _________________ --- The first time is luck, the second time is coincidence, and the third time is skill! --- Shayla Worley |

I heard Dominika was injured and when she recovered they didn't let her compete? I was never clear on the story. |

+1, I only know she had to retire in 2006, she came back in 2008 but she didn't attend important international competitions, and then she retired again. |
