Did anyone here grade Bessonova's routine? I would like to compare my analysis to someone's else.

Ok, I try. But at first some words:
First thing: I am a national judge, not with international brevet.
Second thing: I am not a fan of Bessonova. I like her expressive style but not her body and apparatures technics, perhaps I am too low so.
Body clubs
11 C balance ok 0, 3 Handling without hands A ok 0,4
11 G balance (no because of knee) ----
(17 C flexibility - think it should be combined with one before so it does not count and this element itself is not really at side mode behind)
34 C with rotation Fexibility good 0,5 Handling without hands A ok 0,4
6 C Balance ok 0,3 Miles in A Serie ok 0,4
miles in a half round with steps 0,3
24 F Flexibility (no, head not on leg) Handling without hands, no A 0,2
13 B Balance ok, also leg is going up and down 0,2 Miles A Serie 0,4
28 E Balance ok, also body very deep and not long fixed 0,5 Handling without hands A ok 0,4
17 B Balance ok 0,2 Asymmetry A 0,2
20 C jump ok 0,3 through behind body 0, 1 catch with jump A 0,3
3 H jump no 180°, no body going back during jump Handling A no
catch after two chaines but before and not in rotation 0,2
Through with jump, catch with jump ok 0,2
Through of both behind body 0,2 and catch after two rolls because there is a break before the third o,o
41 C Balance? Body in side not in old Code but in new one 0,5, miles A serie 0,4
26 E Balance I think it counted also not long fixed 0,5, miles A serie 0,4
21 D + 1 D pivot (perhaps it should be F and F?)+0,1 for changing position+0,2 for one more 360°= 1,1 It must counted also I never counted her attitude because of the deep leg which is also going up and down and she is doing nothing with clubs
24 E balance ok 0,5, miles A serie 0,4
miles in a half round with steps 0,3
21 E pivot better than other Attitude 0,6 but what are clubs doing?
7 E Balance ok 0,6 Handling A 0,2
15 C Balance ok 0,3, Handling A 0,2
11 E Balance 0k 0,5, miles A serie 0,4
Through of both in jump, catch in second rotation 0,4
So I have only 7.1 in difficulty (from 9.7 or 10) and 6.3 (from 7.0) mastery. ok, perhaps I am too deep for international. Lets say 24 F Flexibility is ok and 26 E Balance is ok , than I have 8.2 (like the judges in Beijing) and 6.7 in mastery.
What do you think? |

The first leap, the high cossac arch, is an E element |

I was just wondering -
When Anya does extra turns, how is this judged?
I always wonder, because I thought there was penalty for not doing what was written on card? Which would mean she has to write the exact amount of turns she will perform, but sometimes she does 3, 4, 5, or even 6.
I hope someone understands what I am asking . . |

for pivots it has not to be the exact number. For example: you write down you make 5 but if you only make 3, 3 will be counted (ofcourse if you fall, nothing counts).
I don't know what happens if you write down only 2 and you make 3. The points are upgraded? |

No, you can't get something you haven't claimed. |

It is right, you cant get more for a pivot than you claimed. But if you do less turns in a pivot than you claimed it counts for less points.
I think Bessonova claimed this combination pivot with 1,2 but it is possible the judges only counted with 1.0
And also AnnaBessonovaNumber1Fan is right, Annas first jump is 0.5.
So I have 0,3 more difficulty 7.4 when I am strict and 8.5 when I am not that strict. |

i'm not a judge but i watched the routine while reading your marking and i think it's quite right, but i have a doubt because i watched Turin Bessonova's clubs and those difficulties (11G, 24F, 3H) were executed in the same way ..i don't know why giving her 18.425 for http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=4XVvDFh7Pr8 and much less in Beijing? someone can tell me the differences? thanks in advance |

I think the opening turn in her Turin Clubs routine is countable. In Beijing, Anna clearly hinged her leg and didnt complete the turn on her relevae. In Turin, she completed the turn and didn't really hop, I think the element could have counted and increased her Difficulty score in Turin, she could have had an Execution deduction, I dont really know. _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

Are you sure about the pivot??
I am sure that in the COP it says that any pivot beyond what you have written down on the card would have a value of 0, XX ( each pivot more) |

Her Beijing routine is far superior to her Turin routine, I just think the opening turn had stronger execution in Turin _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

I haven't finished my analysis, but I can't see how the Superior Jury was even able to justify raising the Difficulty score by 0.1. She wrote no 'A' elements. The only way that I can see it possible for them to raise the score by 0.1 was if in the two counting scores the judges had either discredited one of her 'B' value balances (the Attitude or the Arabesque) or took away the credit for one of the rotations in one of her pivots, and to raise it the Superior Jury told the judges that one of them had to credit whatever they discredited, but that the other one did not. How could they do that? Have half of the panel credit something the others don't have to? It's mind-boggling. _________________ *Elegance is an attitude.* |
