Of course, judges can see the difference between loss of balance with hand support and landing with hand support.
The first one can be deducted in 050 or 070 depending on an error. The second one is just a composition and I wouldn't give any deduction and we should give a credit to a body movement difficulty. _________________ Go Alina, you are the Olympic Champion 2008!!! |

I'm still not clear on whether they allow leaps with backbends and rings anymore. It's not in the table of elements, but the code says that a backbend can be used with a ring. It would add .5 to the base.
Also, a jete leap is considered a different leap than a regular leap. _________________ I have a gymnastics blog again. Here we go. toomanyamanars.blogspot.com |

A Leap with Backbend & Ring adds 0.4 to the base, not 0.5.
Backbend is 0.3 on its own, and Ring is 0.2 on its own - Both together are 0.4 _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

where did you get the information - ring+backbend will be 0.40?!
The Code states: L’exécution d’une difficulté avec une amplitude plus grande que la norme ne change pas la valeur prévue pour cette difficulté.
I.e. you can do a base "enjambee" or "jete en tournant" with backbend, and add the rign, but the value is the same.
And the shape still remains the same. _________________ Go Alina, you are the Olympic Champion 2008!!! |

So adding a ring to a leap with backbend is now considered exceptional amphlitude. hm... that's interesting. _________________ I have a gymnastics blog again. Here we go. toomanyamanars.blogspot.com |

What is this leap? I guess it's fouette split leap? Or what? It looks beautiful! I have been trying to find out what is it almost during a week!
Girls, please, heeeelp!

I have seen this leap a few times - Staniouta did it in Requiem for a dream ribbon routine and Bessonova did the ring version of this leap in Clubs 2003-2004. _________________ Truth without love turns person into criticaster...

I think it's the 18D jump, the fouetté with grand écart.
