Are gymnasts allowed to wear them? My coach said no, but I saw few pictures with gymnast wearing earings. Is it any deductions for that? |

Well obviously you're not allowed to wear big, dangly ones, but I wear a pair of diamonte stud earrings whenever I compete. I know studs are ok, but I'm not sure about sleepers (you know, the little gold hoops?). _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

if you wear big earrings, the problem is it can hurt you. or apparates can touch it etc. So that's why most coaches don't allow earrings, neclaces etc during training and competition. But ofcourse, earrings like in the pictures above are not a problem |

i don't allow anything for my gymnasts (except this very little earrings), but i must say they are little and their is always danger... especially at that age that want it big. but i myself wear a ring and i don't take it of. It's very small, little one
but allowed what do you mean? by the code allowed or by the coaches? this is different. |

i think you can wear anything (earrings, rings, a cross or something) as long as it's not bothering and hurting you, and if it's small |

USAG rules say "for the safety of the gymnast no jewelry is allowed".
It would be up to the judge to deduct for jewelry if it was worn. |

In britain all coaches and gymnasts are not allowed to wear any jewerelly in competition or training, and gymnasts will be deducted at competitions (i believe) if they are wearing them. |

In the past it used to be forbidden yes. But I remember Pavlina always had a ring on her finger. Most gymnasts has those 'button' earrings for all I know.... _________________ Gimme the ball, gimme the ball... |
