I'm fairly sure it would be BBD = 0.80. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

I have understand how you should count the pivots value after the changes in COP, but the pivot from cosack up to stretch position is worth 0,60 if you do 360° and if I have understand it right 720° is worth 1,2? and 1080° 1,8? it sounds very high, doesn't it?
If someone know, please answer |

Hi there!
This counting-the-number-of-rotations-in-each-position thing, IMO, is a bit impracticable, unworkable. Most of the gymnasts change their position when they feel they have to, not when they have completed any number of rotations.
Anyway, there goes my question:
What happens when a gymnast performs more of the written rotations in the "easier" position during a pivot, but she keeps performing the adequate total number of rotations?
For instance, a gymnast writtes 3 Attitudes + 1 Passé. That is, 1.1 (o.9+o.1+o.1).
But she performs 1 Attitude + passés.
What is the value that judges give?
-1 Attitude + 0.1 + 1passé = o.5? (this doesn't sound that bad now that I'm writting it)
-The normal value?
-1 attitude + 0.1 + 3 passés= 0.7?
Thanks! |

You can only get a maximum of what's written on your sheet - if you do a triple passe, but it's only written as a single on your sheet, you will only get the 0.1. Therefore, in your example, the gymnast would get 0.5 (0.3 +0.1 + 0.1). _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Thanks!! This sounds quite logical |

You write the symbols and letter values for both pivots.
So (attitude pivot symbol) F (cossack pivot symbol) F
And 1.3 in the space above the symbols.
By the way, I would like to see someone do that combination! _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

I´m not completely sure that´s the exact combination, but I think Frida Parnas from Norway does it.

What is the value of the pivot at 1:13 and how do you write it? |
I would say that she writes CCCCCCCCC = 2,7. |

No, you can only do 1 passe fouette pivot per routine, no matter what the number of rotations. You can however use a passe fouette and horizontal fouette. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Hi!
Do you think that gymnast must keep performing penchée pivot in relevé? For instance, Kanaeva's brand pivot or Staniouta's pivot. They never perform it in relevé but, with her D1 values, as a matter of fact, judges always count them. What do you think? |
