yes but without changing the direction of the body |

Yes, you don't need to change the direction of the body. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Stupid question here: how long do you technically have to hold a combination balance for? for each position. Is it 3 secs each or ? |

Most of the ones I've seen haven't been for anywhere near that long, but maybe they were doing it wrong? _________________ Bring on the wall!

Combination balances do not need to be held for as long as a normal balances. The judge should see two fixed, but fast shapes, with both being held for the same amount of time. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

I think local power and physical coordination it's very important . The main force is drilled and waist strength, the main on your independent of physical training. _________________ Mercurial Vapors |

A quick question... Maksymenko in her Hoop routine does a Y Stand without help and lowers her trunk to Side Scale without help in one movement. I'm sure this is counted as one element. Is it like a Temps Fouette without any rotation? And how much is this element worth?
I was wondering whether she does the same at the start of her Ball before her Backscale balance. Is she simply preparing herself on relevae or is she doing 2 Balances? _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

Idk if it was already asked, but it's ok to do the fuetée balance with passée?
I mean, first an horizontal leg, than an attitude, than a passée?
it would be valued 0.7 anyways?
and.. also in the fuetée balance: the first one can be a balance with help? _________________ спорт, страсть |

I'm not sure what you mean by a Y stand - do you mean unheld split balance? I looked for a video but I guess it must be a recent change... _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Yes, you can use a passe - I usually do attitude-passe-attitude, which is 0.7, the same as your example. And yes, the first can be a balance with help. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Thanks Tahnee! Gosh it was a big mess this balance with help thing. My team mate was in a competition and another coach saw her training, and noticed she was doing first a spilt with help, then atittude, then horizontal leg.
So this coach came next to her and said that she couldn't have that in her routine
After this everybody was asking everybody if this balance is valid or not...
and it was a national competition
So my teammate ended with a cossack in her sheet _________________ спорт, страсть |

It's definitely valid - I've seen girls at our Nationals doing side split with help as the first balance _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

It's at about 1:20... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7_p66Z6M0Y
How much is her other Temps Fouette worth as well?
The one I was referring to in her Ball routine is at about 8 seconds... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDInaWrPdME&feature=related _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

Yes, both examples are a combination balance - 1 skill - which is worth 1.0 (0.3 + 0.6 + connection 0.1). _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |
