I'm guessing you mean a fouette balance, since you have listed three different shapes. The value of these balances is a base 0.5 plus the value of the first balance, an arabesque, which is 0.2 - the final value would be 0.7. You would be better off starting with the unheld front or side split shape as these are worth 0.3, and so the balance would be a 0.8. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Sorry that I am asking again but I just noticed somethink . In a fouette balance we just count the base value and the value of the first balance that we perform? |

I watched a DVD from Vervier's competition from last year yesterday and I discovered that a gymnast did a fouetté difficulty conisting of a flex (heel), and then 2 balance positions (relevé) Are this possible in any combinations? _________________ RG is the true reason to go on in my life! |

Well, she could have written it as a flex, because you can do flexs on toe, it's just not necessary.. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

I've seen a lot of gymnasts (above all mid-level gymnasts) who perform fouetté balances with more than one "low-leg" position. For instance, ring without help, to horizontal front leg, to passé.
I though that performing at least two high legs was comulsory (for example, a circle to passé to grand écart).
I suppose that gymnasts usually get them counted by judges. What do you think? |

Fouette balances can use any shape. Fouette flexs can only use attitude and higher shapes. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

Can anyone teach me what the element(s) btween 0:57 and 1:00 is in this video please? Is it a fouette balance or is it a balance (for D1) fallowed by an other one (A and only for D2) + an other balance for D1?

It's a fouette balance (second without handling-passe -battement with handling)
0,30+0,50=0,80 |
