Yes it's sad for her . But how unusual of Italy to "let go" a gymnast after just one year of competition (because i think she was in the reserve team since 2010) . I hope she's not injured.
I saw videos of Alessia Maurelli on you tube . She must be around 16 , and she the only gymnast that i saw who can do the Staniouta pivot . |

Laura Jung also was doing that pivot for some time, in 2010 if I remmeber well. |

So if i understand well. The italian group returned to training today .
The gymnasts that return are :
Marta Pagnini .
Andreea Stefanescu .
Sofia Lodi.
Alessia Maurelli .
Camilla Patriarcha.
Camilla Bini.
Arianna Facchinetti .
Daniela Pintus.
The new gymnasts are :
Martina Centofanti. However she's in the goup since july.

It isn't official yet, but the italian junior team for 2015 at the moment is trained by Cristina Ghiurova and Julieta Cantaluppi as in 2013.
The gymnasts are:
Daniela Mogurean, 2001, Fabriano (team of Cantaluppi)
Milena Baldassarri, 2001, Fabriano
Lavinia Muccini, 2001, Fabriano
Agnese Duranti, 2000, La Fenice Spoleto (team of Stefanescu)
Anna Bajraktari, 2001, team Ritmica 2000
