it must be crazy-> dangerous <-driving in Russia now and I understand the officials, they try to warn people to be more safe with tv ads, billboards etc. But whew, how to make ppl listen! Have driven cars all over western, southern Europe, even Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Rep and other photographers do also (Dirk, Esther, Barny, Dan all do sometimes). But I think I would never try drive in Russia..... |
You're totally right........................................
80 % of people study in drivers schools, but don't pass examinations....they buy a driving licence...
On the russian roads "rules" who has expensive car.... I hate it. In Russia we have full accident on roads.... I drive the car 10 years.
In Moscow few drivers pass pedestrians on a pedestrian crossing.... Be careful....Cars can go on sidewalks, if it's VERY much necessary to do it....... It's awful, disgusting......
Sleep in heavens, Natasha... |
The problem in Russia is that roads between cities (towns) aren't divided in two parts like highways in most of the countries , so the cars that go opposite directions are on the same road, and there is no chance to be safe when the road is like that. I can count thousands cases when people could have been saved if the road was divided. And sometimes the problem is not only the expensive cars, the problem is mentality, I drive and I very often see cheap cars and vans /buses (though they are full of people) doing crazy things also very often, they do not care about the rules, speed , nothing...
Btw, Tom , if you drove in Baku, you would feel very safe driving in Russia _________________ Sympathy one receives for nothing, envy must be earned.

Today it's Natasha's and her sister's funeral..... I pray to God that He would give strength to her mother...I can't imagine what state she is now in.. and to all the close people, girls-her students, her friends.. _________________ Sympathy one receives for nothing, envy must be earned.

This morning each of us lit special Paschal candles for Natasha, her sister,
baby and their family. We prepared a special prayer which, the Army chaplian
read requesting comfort and love for Natasha's family.
We asked that her friends, family and those who knew her, can come together
in her memory. Many families here are with you Natasha in memory.
Many thoughts and prayers, healing hugs! |
