I had the same thing. I only registered like a month ago (a bit more I think), and I kept waiting for the confirmation from the admin. I never got one, but one day I was able to log in just like that. I suppose she should try every now and then, even if she doesn't receive any confirmations. At least that's what I did _________________ There is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everybody a great deal of good. |

Indeed, it is changed. The confirmation is done by the admins. Like this we can see if the user is a spammer or not. Many accounts are not confirmed for this reason. As we are all working, it can take a few days that a user is confirmed. I have no clue if you receive a mail after i've done the confirmation or not.
yoana-kristaNOR, before we did this, there was a lot of spam almost daily. This also wasn't fun. So we believe it's better that a new user has to wait a few hours or days. Can you check if your cousin is confirmed already? If not, tell me her nickname and i'll confirm her by latest tomorrow (i was on holiday for one week). |

Yes, Janita is correct...early this summer Alex implemented a manual approval system for new members and it has cut the bad boy spammers wayyyy down. If new members list believable interests in their application, it helps the mods and brings faster approvals. |
