OK she's my favourite Russian girl who is competing now, and she has the clearest technique in my opinion. For example, her releve is out of this world, especiall at her attitude turn Shocked I haven't seen any gymnast -might expect for Kanaeva - whose apparatus-handling can be compared to her. I love it!
But in the body difficulties she isn't very excellent. Many gymnast - who are not as high ranked as her - has better jumps and can turn more. Isn't this right? I really hope not, but in my opinion she is overscored. Trubnikova was after her in GP Holon, although her body difficulties are more difficult. Please, somebody calm me down!! Sad

She's my favorite Russian as well. She's so clean and elegant and has indeed a very good apparatus technique. I do think that her leaps are okay (not the most difficult ones, but her split leap is very nice) and that her balances are very good. But I agree with you about her pivots...

about the turns , it's not about how many turns you do it's about how you do them . Kudryatseva like you said has amazing attitude pivots and she does two of them . Dmitrieva has a very good balance and she can hold her pivots during 5-6 turns but her attitude turns are mediocre most of the time , he releve and her leg aren't high enough . So the score in execution of Kudryatseva isn't affected but Dmitrieva's score will , so for me no she's not overscored (i mean not particularly compared to others russian)

Thanks, I'm calmer now Rolling Eyes Finally, I've understood the meaning of the Execution points. Lots of people say that she can be the next Kanaeva, but Kanaeva had more difficult elements and Kudryavsteva has clearer techinque. And her ball routine! Love

Yes, She is just like a Ballerina.
She will never turn like Kondakova, her skills are completely different.

Regarding scores, I think that they're all right. You just have to count everything that she does in the routine, she has a high value. And her execution is way better than Trubnikova, who apparently had more mistakes than Yana.

Remarkable ball routine. I agree that she is something special. And she still has time to develop.

Yes, they talked about Europeans, their parents, schooling. World Games (Mamun is having a rest and will compete there with Nazarenkova) etc... nothing new.

The video that goes with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMnnTLJDwcw&noredirect=1

I'm always amazed how very long her limbs and fingers are. It sometimes looks like she's not grown into her body Smile The spinning close-up shot is very good Cool

Am I right to assume Yana has an element named after her?
