Kudryavtseva has said about her success, "I cannot say I have accomplished really a lot. Like Irina Viner says: "When you're on the victory podium, you're a queen, but when you come down from it, you're nobody. You cannot be too proud of yourself". "I am just like my teammates, we're all equal.

For her it's everything or nothing. She won many times and indeed she is a very succesful gymnast

it's very common in RG. and Yana's still very young. well, their weight are very low but I'm sure they're healthy.
They eat healthy(low carb, high protein and veggie during the competition season) and train at least 6-8 hours a day.
look at Kanaeva when she's 13-18. just like Yana she's very little. And then her body was improving into women body in 2009 when she's 19.
or look at Viktoria Mazur, she's even thinner than Yana. But look at her arms, she's very muscular.

Exactly, just because they are skinny doesn't mean they aren't healthy. If they weren't healthy they wouldn't have the stamina and strength that they do.

Okay, low carb diet is indeed healthy and I hope I'm wrong and you are right about the weight, but I doubt it because there are lies and myths about what is healthy and what's not.

And high carbohydrate diet, for example, most people in my country thinks that's healthy but that's not true.

For anyone who is interested in what health means, I can recommend to read this book, written by Weston Price.

This is English book, but I had read the Dutch version.

I'll be very sad to see her retire. Her style really grew on me over this quad. She would have really benefitted from the next COP, too. That being said, I would rather her put her health first and retire so her injury can heal properly than to push even more and possibly come out with a worse outcome.
