For me, the COP is kind of hard to understand.(I have not read through all of it) I know on YouTube, someone made a video that explained the start values of gymnasts' routines in artistic gymnastics. I was wondering if it was possible for rhythmic gymnastics. _________________ My YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MarchingBalletDancer

I don't know if there is a video. But for RG you have Difficulty value splitted into D1 (Body) and D2 (Apparatus).
D1 consists of maximum 12 difficulties for seniors and 10 for juniors. There are jumps, balances, pivots and flexibility/wave difficulties. There are different compulsory difficulties for different apparatus. For seniors:
Rope: 4 jumps and 4 pivots
Hoop: minimum 2, maximum 4 of every type
Ball: 4 jumps, 4 flexibility/waves
Clubs: 4 balances, 4 pivots
Ribbon: 4 jumps, 4 pivots
The rest 4 are not compulsory and can be chosen freely by the gymnast (or not declared at all).
The maximum value of D1 is 10 points to declare.
D2 consists of unlimited number of apparatus elements. However there are compulsory 3 Risks (throw with at least 2 rotations of the body connected to the throw). Also there can not be two exactly identical repetitions of any element. For example if gymnast declares throw in a jump several times, the jumps must me different. The total value of D2 can be maximum 10 points.
Also you can have original elements that give the gymnast extra points, they need to be approved by FIG before competitions. You can have both body and apparatus originalities.
In the end of the total D-score is calculated: (D1+D2)/2
This is very general. If you have more questions about details, please feel free to ask! |

I think Hoops and Grand Fouettes meant a sort of video-montage with some clips which show gymnasts performing a D1 (or even a D2) element and the value of the element. |

Alright, I didn't understand it, but now I get it a lot of work to do with D2 |

Hey, I'm making a montage with elements and their scores, not quite what you were talking about, but yes, similar. _________________ "What gives me confidence is the fact that everyone gets insecure" - Andrew Garfield |

If anyone wants to view them, here is her channel (she has the guides arranged by apparatus): https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8TEzGajO1JjRfA-1zJqceg/playlists |
