Canadians did their first routine and it was good. No big mistakes, they look solid.
Will post scores soon. For those that are interested the OC promised to post scores on twitter since Marc can't do live feed with no internet connection.

Thank you for your background info on the Canadian group. It sems they rarely get a mention and they have certainly done their best to represent the Americas. |

Has anyone heard about what is happening with the Canadian Senior Group?
Who is in it, which coach, which Province? |

I think at least one of the girls is retiring, but I'm not sure if they have replaced her yet. But the team is still in Ontario. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

I spoke to some of the girls and they are not training and don't plan to ....
I think we need to get a team together ASAP everyone in Europe seems to be doing that already. I hope we get our top girls out for selection (whenever that is) so we can keep up the momentum.
Go Canada!! Lets qualify for the next OG. |

It's hard because we don't really have any seniors that do group (we don't really have any seniors period atm).
I can't imagine some of the girls quitting, like whichever twin is on the team and the other girl from the Singapore Junior group.
There's a pretty promising junior group at the moment, so maybe we won't have a good team (or any team) this year, and we'll just have to wait until Juniors turn senior. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

I think if the Seniors from across Canada joined then we would have a good team but they are too young to move to where ever the training will be.
Katya Strevensky, Maria Kitkarska, Nerissa Mo, Annabel Kovacs, from old group if they stay: Angelika Reznik, Katrina Cameron ... and new Seniors that were Juniors last year.
The Junior group Canada has is terrible so I am not sure why that looks promising to you, unless there are new Juniors that are better in it now. The rope routines were a disaster in Argentina, the quality just wasn't there 2 girls made such embarassing mistakes during AA. The routines are on Youtube if you want to watch them. US team was excellent and lots of difficulty. |

Maybe you don't realise that one girl was added into the group right before the competition. I've seen them training and at smaller competitions, and while they're not great (a little more int'l experience couldn't hurt), they're not as atrocious as you seem to think. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

Maybe you don't realize that the last minute addition did not step one foot on the competition carpet. |

I know she didn't. But still, adding someone new is an odd thing to do.
Anyway, I watched the Pan Ams Rope routine, and the one I saw in February was MUCH better. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee
