I wasn't sure if I should put this in Off-Topic or Videos, so since it's not actually a video yet, I though OT was the safest option.

For a Comm. Tech. (class) project we have to film and edit something. Since I ended up in a group all by myself, I wanted to do a short (5-10 min) documentary on RG. My coach has allowed me to take short breaks from my training to film everyone else training. I'm also planning on interviewing some of my friends.

I need ideas for what questions to ask them; things that will help people who know nothing about RG understand the sport. The only question that i have so far is "What makes RG different from other sports?"

Any ideas for questions or anything else would be much appreciated!

3. What is the hardest part of RG

I think it all depends on whether you want to show the emotional part of it or simply introduce them to the sport (which I guess is what you want to do since probably most of them haven't heard about rsg).
So, show them what rhythmic gymnastics is, emphasize that it takes a lot of coordination (body+app.) and years of practice. Ask them how many hours a day they train, how do the training sessions go, which apparatus is the hardest to master and why, you could also explain the different groups of exercises that each apparatus requires. Ask them what motivates them and what it takes to be a gymnast.
You could ask them to perform the body element they find the most difficult to master Laughing !
I am not really giving you particular questions, just sharing what I think would be good for an introduction to the sport.

Thank you; that was very helpful! The athletes I'll be filming are provincial level, so aside from the occasional crying over an injury or sulking over a bad routine, it doesn't get to emotional. So yes, I'm more trying to give an overview of the sport.

There's one girl that I train with who is super flexible; hopefully I can talk her into letting me film some of her crazy back flex stuff.

May I suggest filming moving flex elements? I mean, stretching in a split is something, but a split leap is more impressive. And it would show people that RG is so much more than flexibility. Chances are they already know how important it is anyway in gymnastics in general.

How about asking the gymnasts about working in teams? What makes a routine challenging when you're competing in a group? Or asking what part of the choreography they like and why? Zita

It's all done Very Happy. Just need a title. The working title is Art in Motion, but I don't love that.

What about "Beauty in Motion?" It seems to be a common title for montages, but it really is what RG's all about.

I actually can't; most of it features girls from my club, and I had to promise to only show it in class to get them to agree to it. But I can separate the bit about the OG and put it on YT Smile

For anyone who's on right now: I need a tagline for my poster ASAP (like, within twenty minutes).

So far, all I have are a few lines focusing on: "The sport no one's ever heard of" but that seems really pathetic, so if anyone has ideas, PLEASE share.

The poster for my film Smile I don't have a problem sharing this because you can't see the girl's face and the names are blacked out.
