What does a competition week means to a RG gymnast?
Thu – departure
Fri – gets up early & work till evening at training hall with shared carpet, full distraction. No full carpets, still lots of time waste in waiting. OR competition day
Sat- full day competition, sometimes work till late evening 22:00, depends on program.
Sun-full day competition or late evening departure
Mon-departure & arrival at home
Tue – Usually day off for gymnasts & coaches, after whole weekend tense competition.
Wed – back to base carpet
Thu – at base carpet or on Departure again for next competition
There are only 2 out of 7 days, gymnast can really focus working in Full Carpet Training Hall. Essentially in competitions to test routines & then go back to work on refines, candidates likes Miteva, Charkashina, Garayeva worked 2 per months with break intervals.
What is thinking in a gymnast’s head when waiting in hotel lobbies for your team, shuttle bus to gym, waiting in queue to gym carpet, waiting in queue to compete, waiting departure in airports? Hard worrying or figuring how to perform decent routines on carpets, clinging with tiredness, fatigue, injuries. Whereas in Kondakova’s case the worst, coming week still has competiton.
This Sofia WC, the 10th Competition of Kondakova in this season, compared candidates Garayeva 6th, Miteva 5th, Charkashina 4th, Staniouta 4th, Rizadinova 7th. She has been 10 /18 weeks was arranged on the road. Sofia WC is just unnecessary need her presence if Kanaeva plus Dmitrieva together pretty enough to safe-guard gold medals. Corbeil is just unnecessary too.
It is embarrassing to speak the truth, even RG layman as I am think that she need to take a break, on the contrary, her country ordered her to compete exceptional frequently in this important season to OG.

Yep, that's what I just posted XD
Excited to see Sasha and happy for Dasha K to have a break. She needs to rest her shoulder and her mind.
Corbeil was bad for Sasha last year; hoping it'll be much better this year! _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

I can't understand why the BR Confederation doesn't send more than one girl to compete. Angélica is 5 times Brazilian champ; Southamerican Champ; and the first one to win those medals in the PanAmerican Games last year and since the begining of the 2012 season she just went to Penza where she had amazing results. It's really sad and unfair. Let's hope Natalia represent us well. :/ _________________ (¯`·._)Ira 4Ever(¯`·._) |
