Just out of curiosity, were there any gymnasts who had like, really long torsos or really short legs or something who are or were very successful and beautiful to watch?

I would also like to see some gymnasts with long torsos. I feel so short (even though I'm not; my legs are still long) surrounded by all the 'gymnasts bodies'. Sad

I wouldn't say 'bad' bodies because that's quite harsh - maybe another word?

I would be very interested to see this too as I myself have totally the "wrong" body for RG, I'm tiny with short legs xD There's a girl on the British AG team who doesn't look like an AG gymnast at all, she has really long legs Razz

I really think that there is no successful gymnast with no perfect body.

And the ones who aren't that successful or successful in general, they are like me...short legs with a lot of muscles, which don't become less, no matter what I do... Sad

Maybe Weber? She has those huge leg muscles. She's almost built more like a figure skater.

Or Filanovsky; she's so tiny. But aside from her height, she has the perfect body.

I wonder how the Ukranians keep their gymnast so long and thin. They NEVER have weight problems. Or they never send them internationally if they are over weight. I mean When you look at kabaeva...kanaeva...garaeva...they all gained weight fairly quickly and there was a noticable change with their bodies. But when u look at the Ukranians..or even the belarussians..they pretty much stay the same size..just grow longer.

They may not be dieting. Some people are born that way.

But everyone's weight fluctuates when they grow; I'm naturally very slim, but even I gained a little weight right before I grew about six inches in less than a year. Everyone does; figure skaters complain about it all the time. They're still human.

But these girls are very active. I have a natural rhythmic gymnasts body (hate to sound like I'm tooting my horn) (that may also be why I got injured a lot in soccer) and I stayed that way even when I was inactive due to injury for a few months.
I went to college (and you know how everyone talks about the freshman 15 ) Rolling Eyes I ate less healthily a gained about 8 pounds of course but when I came home I went back to my normal weight. I literally wiegh the same amount and look the same as I did 4 years ago.
Not to sound over obsessed I just don't like it when people assume that a very thin person diets a lot.
