Topic for discussing Olympic events other than RG
I am beyond happy for Ryan Lochte's gold medal in 400m swimming Baffled as to how M. Phelps came in fourth.
US men's gymnastics team is also doing amazing so far, first place in qualifications today
Can't wait to watch men's basketball tomorrow. Go Lebron, Dwyane, Kevin, Kobe, and the rest of the team _________________ ♥ Bessonova, Kondakova, Dmitrieva, Rizatdinova ♥ |

Can't believe Kuksenkov didn't qualify for any final other than Pommel Horse and All Around, i hope he does better in the AA and get that 5th spot again like in Tokyo and if higher even better!
I saw those Korean girls, the volleyball team, wow! They stood a chance to beat US and they were great even tho they lost...
I'll be waiting for diving, Qiu Bo will become champion finally? :O |

Go Komova, Mustafina, Ross and Ferlito!
I'm happy for the second place of Russian artistic gymnasts yesterday, and for the second place of Belyavskiy! And Hambuechen was third! |

Douglas is better than Raisman, and so is Wieber.
If Raisman gets an AA medal and Douglas does not, I will be very upset. _________________ I have a gymnastics blog again. Here we go. toomanyamanars.blogspot.com |

I agree on that point, however I prefer Raisman over Douglas (I prefer most anyone over Douglas), which is why I'm unhappy that it's Wieber out of the AA and not Douglas.

I'm already kind of 'Olympiced out'.........There's so much to take in.
The surprise elimination of Spain in football! It was funny to watch them go crazy towards the end though.
I honestly don't that much for the Artistic Gymnastics. I think in 2008 I was mostly drawn to watch it by Nastia Liukin but now that she didn't qualify........
And she had the leaps down right. I think most of the Americans, especially Douglas sickle their feet in split leaps and their hips aren't squared. The Russians seem to have it though.
When Komova (Mustafina?) and He Kexin did the raised leg pivot on the beam, I thought of how well and beautifuly someone like Maximenko would have done it. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBZtHAVvslQ |

I'm happy with this. I don't like her at all, I prefer both Raisman and Douglas to her. Even if I would have liked to see Ross!
Anyway it's quite strange to see Wieber out of the AA final, given that she is the current World champion! I didn't see much of the third subdivision, did she have mistakes or simply the other USA gymnasts were better than her?
Go, Vika! I really hope she win! But why did Mustafina rank so low? |

She had a couple small mistakes. If I'm remembering the right score, she was only .2 or .3 behind Douglas. Everyone had mistakes (a lot of stepping out on floor). Douglas wasn't better by much.
Mustafinas just getting back from an injury, so I think she did pretty well. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee

I've been hearing American news media complain about the 2 per country rule...how much more America-centric can you guys get?
I love all the members on the American team, but I'm finding myself really rooting for Aly right now.
Really happy I get to see my future Philipp Boy compete in the Team Final though. |
