I have some questions about some elements of the new code of points ^^
What's the difference between the penché rotation (6. - 0,40) and the front split pivot with trunk at the horizontal (3. - 0,50) ??
And what's the "spiral turn with full body wave" (6. - 0,10) ?
Thanks _________________ * Il miglior modo per realizzare i propri sogni è svegliarsi. |

Penché rotation is what Trofimova does at 0:17 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1cTkMTd9tg. It is an element that can be done with heel down (or very low releve). One rotation worth 0,40. For each additional rotation you add 0,20: so, for 2 rotations 0,60, for 3 rotations 0,80 etc. The trunk can be lower than horizontal.
The split pivot with trunk at the horizontal is hardly performed. I saw Aliya Garaeva and Gana Rizatdinova tried (or seemed trying, I don't know what they wrote in their D forms). It's an element that must be performed on high releve and with the trunk at the horizontal. It is more difficult; that's why it worth 0,50. And for each additional rotation you double the points; so for two rotations you get 1,00 points.
Spiral turn with full body wave it's a sort of tonneau on low releve. See what this gymnast does at 1:02-1:05, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sn5TV74PLk |

Aw thanks you! that's nice.. I understand now
And I wanted to know.. Is that possible to do the backsplit pivot without help??? o.o (3. - 0,40) and the front split pivot trunk bent at the horinzontal backwards (3. - 0,50)? thanks _________________ * Il miglior modo per realizzare i propri sogni è svegliarsi. |

Backsplit pivot without help used to be done by Lyasan Utiasheva: see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y-emOMFNmM (1:37) or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vZWzpPTKB4 (1:25). But since her I don't think I saw another gymnast performing it.
Front split pivot trunk bent at the horinzontal backwards - I didn't see any gymnast doing it. If they put it in the Code, it must be possible, but way too difficult to perform. |

Thanks, Utiasheva's one is not enough in split I think...
Yeah I seems so difficult, and it's strange because it wasn't in the former CoP.

I think you saw a balance and there are many gymnasts doing it. We were talking here about the pivot. |

She is attempting a rotation in back flexion, except her body is nowhere near the required position. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/Tahnee2612 |

thanks, but to me it is rather a backscale that lacks of back flexibility :/
I have another question ^^, what's the difference between a front illusion ans a side illusion? _________________ * Il miglior modo per realizzare i propri sogni è svegliarsi. |

Front illusion is forward, used also as rotation in risks.. Instead side illusion is backward with the trunk at the horizontal! _________________ Go Golden Butterflies!! |

Is there a video of a gymnast performing it? I don't think I have ever seen it! |

Rodriguez is usual to do them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNJDdylLAQ8 (at 1.35)
Also Zhukova, Tchachina, Mitrosz and more...
Instead is more uncommon to see backward illusion with trunk bent... I can't remember any of the gymnasts I saw doing them... _________________ Go Golden Butterflies!! |
