Please find here below the link to the final version of the 2013 – 2016 Code of Points for Rhythmic Gymnastics (in English) for your information. This final version has been updated in February 2013 after the Intercontinental Judges’ Course (Bucharest- November 2012) and has been approved by the FIG Executive Committee. The document can be found in the “rules” section on the FIG website (http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/vsite/vnavsite/page/directory/0,10853,5187-188050-205272-nav-list,00.html ).

It is probably time to stop posting in the long topic about the provisional COP, and rather make smaller and more specific topics discussing the final version of the COP. |

Thanks for pointing this out, Marie. I'm very excited to see that we have a final version in our hands.
I've got a question about calculating Risk. How do you determine how many dynamic elements are counted? To clarify, how do you know what number follows the "R" symbol - R2, R3.. etc.
Let's use this as example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx-DcATi47c&t=0m45s
R?, no sight (.10) and no hands (.10) in rebound (.10) then catch w/ no hands (.10) ...followed by R?, no hands (.10) and no sight? (.10) in throw, change of level (.10), catch in rotation (.10)
And this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-e8AKbaj_9s&t=0m15s
R?, extra rotation (.10), rethrow (.10), extra rotation (.10), catch in jump/change of level (.10) |

Let's use this as example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx-DcATi47c&t=0m45s
Its: R2 ( 2 shane ) + 0.1 rethrow + 0.1 without a sight + 0.1 with no hands = 0.5
and the secound 1 is :
Throw with no hands 0.1 + without sight 0.1 + R2 + changing of level 0.1 + catch with 1 hand 0.1 = 0.6 |

But how do you determine if it is a R3 vs. R2, for example? |

You count the rotations! ( if the gymnast throw in rotation its 1 under the throw and in the rotation she cathches the appartus) |

It's that simple?! Oh my gosh.. Thank you so much!
So, if the gymnast throw/catches in turning leap or, say, walkover, it would count as one of the rotations? And don't leaps count as a change in level? (i.e. Miteva's risk) |

You can count the jump as a rotation but in Miteva case the jump is afetr the rethrow so its not a part of the risk, |

I cannot open the file. Ita says that is broken. is it possible to reupload it? _________________ And she stood in that regal, yet beautifully defiant, pose and waited for her music to start. |

It may be easier to just download from the FIG website: COP page for all disciplines. They have uploaded the non-English versions as well. |

I also have a question about risks. In the COP it says that a risk needs to have a minimum of 2 rotations during the throw or flight of the apparatus. Does that mean that when I throw the apparatus, do one rotation and (immediately) catch it in the 2nd rotation, then this is not valid since I've only done 1 rotation under the throw?
Thank you in advance! _________________ http://www.hot.ee/rhythmicgymnastics/ |

No, that counts. I have exactly that in all my routines and it's always counted. _________________ My youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xxJodelleFerlandxx?feature=mhee
