Staniouta's dropped the last throw with ball, earlier Ashirbayeva had problems as well amongst other girls. Her pivots are still smoking though. _________________ "Time is a great teacher; unfortunately it kills all its pupils." |

I thought Melitina had lost her cossacks. She was famous for that turn. |

Filiorianu's ball is great. Otherwise, whole lot of drops, it's very early in the season. _________________ "Time is a great teacher; unfortunately it kills all its pupils." |

IMO Filiorianu stole the show for the first day - she looks much sharper and "readier" than her rivals. Staniouta is doing work in progress routines, it seemed to me (see the mock steps instead of the leaps in the hoop routine).
But let me tell you, I've watched her doing ballet, and that was alone worth going. Amazing control. _________________ "Time is a great teacher; unfortunately it kills all its pupils." |

Senior results. Staniouta is cautious because of either an injury or not wanting to risk one, so that's why she wasn't doing the leap sequences. She was not scored.

Here are the results of Grácia Fair Cup (no full scores yet). Melitina Staniouta was showing her routines but was not scored, due to not doing her leaps.
Really hit and miss (mostly miss!) routines by almost all of the most well-known gymnasts. Ashirbayeva had troubles with drops, as did Bolotina, Mulmina was so-so, Staniouta is not leaping, so she went unscored for day 2 as well, Filiorianu had a little mess here and there after being excellent on day 1. So at the end Pavlova did solid work and that was enough for a gold!
Staniouta's warmup was one of the most entertaining things in the day. Like a beautiful but very sleepy cat in energy saving mode
SENIOR AA RESULT
1. Maria Pavlova (Russia)
2. Ana Luiza Filiorianu (Romania)
3. Sofia Frankovskaia (Russia) and Liana Semenova (Russia)
5. Dóra Vass (Hungary)
6. Anna Afuxenidi (Kazakhstan) and Katrin Taseva (Bulgaria)
8. Hanna Bazhko (Belarus)
JUNIOR AA RESULT
1. Alina Harmasko (Belarus)
2. Julia Evchik (Belarus)
3. Nicol Zelikman (Israel)
The Belarussian juniors are great. I mean, great great. Zelikman's performance today was also a stunner, with one routine that was nailed really hard.
On to the finals tomorrow (and I have no startlist yet). _________________ "Time is a great teacher; unfortunately it kills all its pupils."

Thank you for the info Gergely! I was very very disapointed with the quality of the stream and decided that I don't want to get a head ache which means I'll have to wait to discover the new routines... _________________ RG is the true reason to go on in my life! |

Is Stantiouta performing as Guest Of Honour? Even in other competitions I have seen hors competition scored. Is someone judging her even informally? Is there something wrong with her? |

Yeah, both the lines and the leaps are great. But the actual competitive showing is, unfortunately, not really _________________ "Time is a great teacher; unfortunately it kills all its pupils." |

Ukranian beautiful headcases are becoming a thing.
I don't know what to think about Melitina's routines, I'll wait until she performs them 100%, I must say I'm not convinced by her clubs, with Zhenya's old music. I don't think it suits Melita's style.
I hope her injuries will heal soon! _________________ ♥Staniouta, Halkina, Kudryavtseva, Pazhava ♥
