Thanks for your help!!!

I've heard this called an "utyasheva" but I would personally call it straight fish to back scale (and then back again haha) Smile

I think "Utyasheva" is the correct name, unless you want to call it "from back split to front split with trunk with trunk bent back (with movement back to the initial position)", like the CoP does, but it's a bit long! Mr. Green
Anyway I don't know why this element is called "Utyasheva", because it wasn't invented by her. Confused

I've always called it "Tchachina".
If I'm not wrong "Utyasheva" should be this element (1.04-1.05 min): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWbdcJn1eKE

A lot of people calls it "Tchachina", other people call it "Utyasheva"... I'm not sure about which one is correct! Confused
But both the names are strange, because this element existed even years before that Lyasan or Ira became famous.

Tchachina is the element when you go down in a balance on one knee.

Utiasheva is what Piscupescu does. Back split, catch of the leg, down, back up. Who invented it then? Utiasheva as I know, was the first to do it as a whole element : down-up-down. Before there were just the slip with catch of the leg.

Thanks, now it's clear! Smile So probably the difficulty "back split + back scale" doesn't have a proper name?

Don't understand what element you're talking about... Embarassed

And then, what's the name of this element (1.04-1.05 min)?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWbdcJn1eKE

I think she was talking about an element like this (1:30-1:32): http://youtu.be/9c1X1zchz3w?t=1m30s
Anyway I have heard the "Tchachina" name also for turns in which you go down on one knee.

No, I meant pivots with progressive bending of the supporting leg (similiar to the balances you posted, but during pivots), like this one:
http://youtu.be/pOAYFqFHvSA?t=1m33s
(even if I don't know if the gymnast in the video performed it in the correct way).

Anyway I don't remember Ira performing similiar pivots, so probably "Tchachina" is an uncorrect name for calling this kind of pivots. Wink

I didn't even know it was an element. It seems just a transition from standing to the floor level.
Definitely not "Tchachina". Tchachina's is a balance as far as I know Smile

I think it's a boomerang throw (even if it is not performed in a "classical" way). Someone can confirm?

Yes, that throw of Kanaeva's would be written as a boomerang throw.
